Tether Edu aims to enhance digital skills worldwide, focusing on emerging markets.

Tether, the company behind the popular stablecoin USDT, has announced the launch of Tether Edu, an ambitious educational program designed to foster Web3 skills across the globe. This initiative will provide a range of learning opportunities, including courses, workshops, and master classes led by industry experts.

While Tether Edu will cater to a global audience, its primary focus will be on nurturing talent in developing regions such as Africa, Latin America, the Middle East, Europe, the CIS, and Asia. Paolo Ardoino, Tether’s CEO, emphasized the company’s dedication to digital education, especially in markets that are on the cusp of technological breakthroughs.

The curriculum offered by Tether Edu spans several key areas, including design, social media management, programming, AI, and blockchain technologies. In addition to providing education, Tether is also seeking to employ individuals passionate about driving educational initiatives across these regions.

Prior to the launch of Tether Edu, Tether had already made strides in the educational domain through partnerships, such as the one with the Business and Technology University in Georgia. These efforts are part of a broader strategy to support and develop blockchain and cryptocurrency education.

In the backdrop of these educational endeavors, Tether Holdings Limited reported a remarkable $2.85 billion profit for Q4 2023. With total assets amounting to $97.02 billion and excess reserves of $5.4 billion as of January 31, 2024, Tether’s financial health appears robust, underpinned by $80.3 billion in US Treasuries.
