February 20, 2024: The Starknet Foundation has made a groundbreaking announcement regarding its upcoming airdrop event. A whopping 700 million STRK tokens, which represent 7% of their total token supply, are set to be distributed to a massive user base of 1.3 million.

Airdrop Eligibility Criteria

Interested parties must meet specific criteria to qualify for the airdrop. Eligible users are those who have conducted at least five transactions across a minimum of three different months with a total value of $100 or higher. Additionally, a minimum balance of 0.005 Ethereum (ETH) in their wallets as of November 15, 2023, is required to participate.

Who’s Included?

The Starknet Foundation extends its airdrop to a broader community, including ECMP program participants, Starknet and StarkEx users, Ethereum developers, EIP authors, Ethereum stakers, members of the Ethereum Protocol Guild, and active GitHub contributors. This inclusive approach aims to reward the diverse contributors to the Starknet ecosystem.

Claiming the Airdrop

Eligible users have a window until June 20, 2024, to claim their STRK tokens. This provides ample time for all qualifying participants to stake their claim in the airdrop rewards.

Commitment to the Community

In December 2023, Starknet disclosed plans to allocate 1.8 billion STRK to its two ecosystem committees. This strategy includes an initial distribution phase and the establishment of a revolving fund. Notably, 900 million STRK will be set aside as return funds to incentivize community members for their essential contributions to the network.

To ensure fair and efficient distribution of these tokens, the Starknet Foundation will appoint a dedicated committee tasked with recognizing and rewarding significant network transactions.
